The “Hansel & Gretel” chalets are conveniently located in a peaceful, sunny spot off the main road:
- within a 2-minute drive ( car or free shuttle) from the Linga ski lifts connecting Avoriaz and Switzerland
- 1 km from the centre of Châtel
- close to the free shuttle stop
- 500 m from the children’s village “ Les Marmottons”
- 350 m from the convenience store and bakery
Located at the heart of Les Portes du Soleil, between the Lac Léman and Mont Blanc, Châtel is within a 20-minute drive from the Swiss motorways, within an hour and fifteen-minute drive from the Geneva international airport and within a 35-minute drive from Thonon-Les-Bains railway station serviced by the TGV.
Reaching The Hansel & Gretel chalets via France
Take : Annemasse, Thonon-Les-Bains, Chapelle d’Abondance in the direction of Châtel.
When exiting Chapelle d’Abondance turn right in the direction of Châtel – le Linga.
Drive past the Intermarché (Mousquetaires) supermarket
At the crossroads of route de Villapeyron and route du Linga turn left and drive in the direction of Châtel centre ( Line A of the ski shuttles). At approximately 400 m take the second road on the left. A billboard “ AMBIANCE CHALET” hung up on a tree at 2.50 m from the ground, shows the direction to the chalets which are 50 m down the pathway on the right.
Beware ! The billboard and pathway are not clearly visible at night. If you drive past Hôtel Ours Blanc on the right side you have driven too far. The private pathway is located a few metres before the bus stop “ Les Ramines”.
